J. Rush Fisher, M.D.,
specializes in spinal reconstructive
surgery of the cervical, thoracic and
lumbar spine. Surgeries cover all degenerative, traumatic and
oncologic conditions of the spine.
Dr. Fisher was born in Wilmington,
Delaware. He graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB degree.
His medical degree was obtained from the University of Pennsylvania.
He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of
Pennsylvania as well. Dr. Fisher's fellowship training in spinal
reconstructive surgery was completed at the University Hospitals of
Cleveland under the guidance of Henry H. Bohlman, M.D.
Dr. Fisher is board certified by the American
Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of
Orthopedic Surgeons. He currently holds hospital appointments at
Christiana Care Health Services, as well as Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for
Children.
Dr. Fisher is a member of the Christiana
Spine Center. He is committed to the collaborative effort of surgical
and non-surgical care of all spinal disorders.
